Men’s sneaker guide 2019

Sneakers are fast becoming one of the most essential parts of a man’s wardrobe. Which we all know is a good thing. With that in mind, and to help make your choice just a bit simple, we’ve taken the opportunity to collect a list of the key sneakers to invest in for the brand-new season.

THE ESSENTIALS

Let’s kick off with the basics, everyone has sustained a long-standing connection with our favorite Converse since we were all teenagers, The original Chuck Taylor All Stars Have hardly changed in the era following their introduction on basketball courts in 1917.

If you’re looking for something less than casual, perhaps look to Common Projects. It’s a New York-based, Italian-made brand, founded by Messrs Flavio Girolami and Peter Poopat in 2004.

THE EXAGGERATED SOLE

Mr. Alexander Mcqueen has gifted us with many beautiful designs in the past but Alexander McQueen’s take on classic sneakers is set on exaggerated rubber soles – the unique style has gained itself strong-deserved cult status since its introduction.

THE TRAIL SNEAKERS

The Flashtrek is the Medusa of the ugly sneaker division, in the best sense of course. But, we’ll admit, they’re not for everyone. We would’ve never thought that we would be wearing these kinds of sneakers in 2019, but here we are.

Oh, who are we kidding? They’ll look great on Instagram.

THE HIGH-TOPS

It’s no secret that the high tops are making a huge comeback this year,
This high-top pair has been crafted in Italy from full-grain calfskin and set on comfortable rubber soles. Notice the pull loops are made from the house’s signature striped webbing.
